You've been in your job a long time. You've always been told you're lucky to have such a job. Maybe you even make a six-figure income and you have a nice office with an excellent benefits package. There's just one problem: this job is not the one you want. And all that good stuff--the income, the benefits, the office, are actually the chains that tie you to the position. They're better known as the "Golden Handcuffs". And it turns your stomach to even think about how you would unlock them. Is this really success?

But you know life is short--too short to be spending it in a job or career that you know isn't right for you. You'd rather have more freedom, either to create a situation where you can make more money for yourself or spend more time with your family or both. However, making the leap is all the more scary because you don't know what you really want to do. If you left, you could make things worse--that old "out of the frying pan, into the fire" story. You need confidence to know you're doing the right thing. You need to know what steps to take. And you want it all like it was yesterday!
